Dato DRUM features four voices you can use to make a wide range of rhythms. Sounds can be played with the square voice buttons, with swappable sounds in each voice and a dedicated pitch fader for tuning the sounds up or down. The concentric rings of step buttons around the panel are circular lanes for 8-step sequencing, making it easy to create beats with a group and see them visualized on the panel. While playing back your beats, you can add effects with the dedicated effects controls to bring extra nuance to your patterns, and add in repeating drum hits with the voice buttons for rolls and other retriggering gestures.
Onboard the DRUM are dozens of great sounding drum samples that are ready to rock, while simple USB connectivity to a computer allows you to record and add your own sounds. With its integrated MIDI and analog sync connectivity, DRUM also plays well with other electronic instruments like the Dato DUO or virtually any other synth in your set-up. The DRUM features both a headphone output and onboard internal speaker, perfect for late night jams in headphones or playing out loud anywhere creativity strikes.
